Why is this important?
Beyond collaborates with government agencies on your behalf, handling new hire reporting to state labor departments, calculating tax rates, remitting taxes and insurance contributions, and submitting financial reports. To perform these duties effectively, you must authorize us to represent you with the tax authorities in each state where your business has tax responsibilities.
For instance, if your operations cover both West Virginia and Ohio, you are required to complete and submit a power of attorney for each state.
State Tax Department
Power of Attorney (POA) for West Virginia State Tax Department
- Download the West Virginia Department of Taxation POA form.
- Fill out section 1 with your business details.
- Sign and date the form at the bottom of section 4B.
- The form must be either signed by a witness or notarized with a public notary seal before submitting it to Beyond.
- Provide Beyond with a copy of the completed POA form.
Unemployment Compensation Division
Third-Party Access (TPA) for West Virginia Unemployment Compensation Division
To enable Beyond to file and remit your West Virginia unemployment taxes, third-party access to your unemployment tax account is necessary. Follow these steps:
- Log in to your WorkForce West Virginia account.
- If you don’t have an account yet, select “Create an account here” to register.
- From the Home Page, click on “Manage Users” (located near the bottom under Management Tools).
- Add “beyond” as a user with “Admin” privileges.
Power of Attorney (POA) for West Virginia Unemployment Compensation Division
- Download and print the West Virginia UCD POA form.
- Complete the top four fields with your company name, Employer Number, FEIN, and address.
- The form must be notarized and carry a notary seal at the bottom of page two before submission.
- Send a copy of the finished form to Beyond.
