Independence Day falls on Saturday, July 4, 2026, and is recognized as a federal banking holiday. Because the holiday occurs on a weekend, it will be observed on Friday, July 3, 2026.
On this day, the Federal Reserve banks ACH processing, which can delay direct deposit payments. If your regular payday lands on or around this holiday, it is important to adjust your payroll schedule to ensure timely employee payments.
If your check date is Friday, July 3, you may need to move payroll submission earlier to avoid delays.
If your payday is set for Monday, July 6, no change to the check date is needed — but payroll will still need to be processed one business day earlier.

*Beyond’s banking cut-off time is 12:30 PM ET. Payrolls submitted after this time will be treated as submitted the next business day. If a holiday submission is made before the cut-off, it will still be processed on time.
