Important Payroll Reminders for the Christmas Holiday
Thursday, December 25, 2025, is a federal banking holiday. Since ACH transfers are paused by the Federal Reserve on all federal holidays, direct deposit payments could be delayed. If your scheduled payday lands on or just after Christmas Day, it’s essential to adjust your payroll in advance.
If employees are normally paid on Thursday, December 25, you’ll need to change the check date to Wednesday, December 24, and ensure payroll is submitted no later than Monday, December 22, to keep everything on time.
For paydays scheduled on Friday, December 26, you don’t need to modify the check date – but payroll must still be submitted one business day earlier to stay on schedule.
Note: These guidelines follow a 2-day processing timeline. If your settings use a 4-day processing window, you’ll need to submit payroll by Thursday, December 18 (see full schedule below).

*Beyond’s banking deadline is 11:30 PM ET. Payrolls submitted after this time will be considered as received the following business day. Submitting on a holiday is allowed, provided it’s done before the 11:30 PM cutoff — this won’t affect processing time.
