Virginia Payroll Tax and Registration Guide

Before you can begin running payroll with Beyond, you’ll need to provide some important information to ensure your company remains compliant with Virginia state payroll tax regulations:

  • Virginia Employer Identification Number and state/local tax IDs
  • Applicable tax rates – These are determined by the Virginia tax agencies based on your business’s size, type, and age.
  • Third-party authorization (TPA) and power of attorney – Required by most agencies so Beyond can file quarterly reports and tax deposits on your behalf.

Providing and keeping this information up to date is essential. Beyond relies on accurate company tax information to correctly file and remit your tax payments. Your business is responsible for any penalties or interest resulting from missing or incorrect data.
