Plan Ahead for Payroll: Federal Holiday on Tuesday, November 11
Tuesday, November 11 is a federal banking holiday. As on all federal holidays, the Federal Reserve will halt ACH processing, which may delay direct deposit payments. If your regular payday lands on or directly after this date, it’s essential to run payroll early to ensure your team gets paid on time. For paydays that fall on the holiday itself, the check date must be adjusted.
What to Do:
- If your scheduled payday is Tuesday, November 11, we recommend changing the Check Date to Monday, November 10, and submitting payroll no later than Thursday, November 6 to avoid delays*.
- If payday falls on Wednesday, November 12, the check date can stay the same, but payroll should be submitted a day earlier*.
*Based on a 2-day payroll processing schedule. For employers using a 4-day turnaround, please submit payroll by November 4 (see detailed table below).
