Thanksgiving Day

Thursday, November 26, 2026 is a federal banking holiday. Since the Federal Reserve halts ACH transactions on this date, direct deposit payments may be delayed.
To ensure your employees are paid on time, it’s important to adjust your payroll schedule if your regular payday is on or around the Thanksgiving holiday.
If your usual payday falls on Thursday, November 26, you should process payroll a day early and change the check date to Wednesday, November 25. For timely payment, make sure payroll is submitted by Monday, November 23.
For employees paid on Friday, November 27, the check date does not need to change — however, payroll must still be submitted one business day earlier to avoid delays.
*This guidance is based on a standard 2-day processing window. If your account uses a 4-day processing timeline, payroll must be submitted earlier.
*Beyond’s banking submission cut-off time is 12:30 PM ET. Payrolls submitted after this time will be treated as received on the next business day. If submissions are made on a holiday before the cut-off time, processing will not be delayed.
