New Jersey - Power of Attorney (POA) Requirement

Why this matters
Beyond works with state agencies on your behalf to handle tasks such as reporting new hires to labor departments, determining tax rates, submitting tax payments, processing insurance contributions, and filing official reports. To carry out these responsibilities in New Jersey – or any state where your company has tax obligations – you must grant us Power of Attorney.

For example, if you operate in both New Jersey and New York, you’ll need to complete and submit a POA for each state.

The process is simple – fill in your information, sign the forms, and send them to us. Beyond will handle the rest.

New Jersey Division of Employer Accounts (DEA)

  1. Download and print the NJ DEA POA form.
  2. Complete the top section with your company’s details.
  3. Have an Authorized Officer witness and sign the document.
  4. Get the form notarized with an official notary seal.
  5. The owner or operator must sign at the bottom of the form.
  6. Provide a copy of the completed document to Beyond.
