Kansas TPA + POA Requirements

Why this matters
Beyond works with state agencies on your behalf – managing new hire reporting to labor departments, calculating tax rates, paying taxes and insurance contributions, and filing the required reports. To perform these services, we must be authorized to represent your company with each state’s tax offices where you have obligations.
For example, if your business operates in both Kansas and Nebraska, you’ll need to complete a separate Power of Attorney (POA) for each state.
Since each tax agency has its own authorization process, the steps and requirements may vary. Below, we’ve outlined the instructions for both Kansas agencies.
Kansas Department of Labor
Power of Attorney (POA)
- Download the Kansas DOL POA form.
- Complete Sections 1–3: KS UI Account Number, Employer Name, Employer Address.
- The taxpayer must sign at the bottom of the form.
- Send a copy of the completed POA to Beyond.
Kansas Department of Revenue
Third-Party Access (TPA)
Kansas requires that withholding taxes be filed and paid electronically. To grant us access, please send Beyond the following:
- Your Withholding Tax ID
- Your Kansas Access Code
Once we have this information, we can initiate the setup for electronic filing and payment.
Power of Attorney (POA)
- Download the Kansas DOR POA form.
- Fill out:
- Section 1: Taxpayer Information
- Section 3: Signature of Taxpayer(s)
- Provide Beyond with a copy of the signed form.
