Reminder: Plan for Payroll Around Federal Holidays
Monday, October 12, 2026 is a federal banking holiday. The Federal Reserve will be closed on this day, pausing all ACH transfers and direct deposit processing.
Because this pause may cause delays in employee payments, it is important to submit payroll early if your payday is scheduled on or immediately after the holiday. For paydays that fall directly on the holiday, the check date must be moved.
If employees are set to be paid on Monday, October 12, change the Check Date to Friday, October 9 and submit payroll by Wednesday, October 7 to avoid late payments.
If payday is Tuesday, October 13, the check date does not need to change, but payroll should be submitted one business day earlier*.
*These guidelines are based on a 2-business-day processing window. For employees with a 4-day turnaround, payroll must be submitted earlier.
If your payday is Monday, October 12, we recommend adjusting the Check Date to Friday, October 9, with payroll submitted by Monday, October 5 to ensure funds are available on time.
For all other dates, follow the schedule below for accurate submission timing.
Â
*Beyond’s payroll processing cut-off time is 12:30 PM ET. Payrolls submitted after this time will be considered received the next business day. Submissions made on a holiday before the cut-off time will not delay processing.
