Idaho - TPA and Power of Attorney Required

Why this matters

To handle tasks like new hire reporting, tax payments, and filings with Idaho agencies, Beyond must be authorized to act on your behalf. This requires a signed Power of Attorney (POA) and third-party access (TPA) for each state where you’re responsible for payroll taxes.

For instance, if your business operates in both Idaho and Montana, separate POA forms must be submitted for each.

Idaho State Tax Commission – Third-Party Access (TPA)

To make withholding tax payments on your behalf, Beyond must request an Idaho TAP Access Code from the State Tax Commission.

Please send us the following details to begin the request:

  • Federal EIN (exactly as filed with the state)
  • Business Name (as registered with the Idaho State Tax Commission)
  • Account Type – Withholding Tax
  • Withholding Account ID

Once we receive your information, we’ll request the TPA access. Within 7–10 business days, you’ll get a letter from the state containing your Access Code. As soon as you receive it, send us a copy so we can complete the setup.

Idaho Department of Labor – Third-Party Access (TPA)

To file and pay unemployment insurance (UI) taxes, Beyond needs access to your Idaho Employer Account. To get started, please provide:

  • Your Idaho UI Employer Account Number (EAN)
  • Your Idaho UI Tax PIN

Don’t have your PIN? No problem. Just send us your EAN, and request that we initiate the third-party access process.

Once we’ve sent the access request, you’ll need to:

  1. Log in to the Idaho Employer Portal
  2. Go to Manage Authorized Users
  3. Click Edit on the user with the pending request
  4. Select the checkboxes next to the roles you want to approve
  5. Click Add Selected Roles
