How to set up multi-factor authentication

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) provides an additional layer of security for your Beyond account. When you log in with MFA enabled, you will be required to enter a one-time, 6-digit code from a secure authentication app, such as Duo, Authy, or Google Authenticator, in addition to your Beyond password.

Troubleshooting Login Issues

If you have enabled Multi-Factor Authentication but have lost access to your authenticator or are otherwise unable to log into your account, please call us at (757) 302-1442 for assistance. Our support hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. EST.

As a reminder, you should never share your login credentials or MFA code with anyone. Beyond will never ask you for this information.

Editing Your Profile

From your homepage, click on “Profile.”

Here, you can modify your personal details, including your name and email, add a recovery email, change your password, or enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for your account.

Setting Up MFA

In the “MFA” section of your profile, click on “2-Step Authentication.”

Enter the mobile number where you can receive text messages. It is important to note that once MFA is active, you must have this phone with you and be able to receive texts in order to log in. After entering the number, click “Send Code.”

Check your text messages for a new code.

Enter the code into the “Confirmation” field and click “Submit.” The code will be valid for five minutes.

If the code is correct, your number will be listed in the “MFA” section of your profile.

Logging In With MFA

Once MFA is set up, logging into Beyond will trigger a text message to the phone number you provided. Use the most recent code you received. The code will expire after five minutes.

Enter the verification code within five minutes of receiving it and click “Submit Code.”

Note: If you are unable to enter the code within five minutes, you can click “Return to Login” and log in again to receive a new code.

Disabling MFA

If you decide you no longer want this added security, or if you simply need to change the phone number linked to your login, you can always disable 2-step authentication.

To do this, go back to your profile.

Here, you can click “Disable 2FA.” You can re-enroll a phone number at any time after it has been disabled.
