How to Report Healthcare Contributions in Beyond

Under the Affordable Care Act, all healthcare contributions made by both employers and employees must be reported on the W-2 in Box 12 using code DD.

To make sure these contributions are included on your W-2 forms, we recommend entering all employer contributions in Beyond by December 31st.

If any contributions need to be added or updated after December 31st, submit a support request with the detailed amounts. Requests can be sent through the support button, by clicking the link at the bottom of any Beyond help article, or by starting a chat from your Beyond dashboard. Using a support request is the quickest and most secure way to address tax matters.

Note: You will need your Beyond login credentials.

Submitting contributions after December 31st may delay the processing of your W-2s, which could result in penalties or interest from the IRS or your state tax agency. Beyond is not responsible for fees incurred due to late reporting.

Obtain Your Healthcare Contribution Totals

Reach out to your health insurance provider and request a document detailing total employee and employer contributions for the current year. Even if the year isn’t over, your provider can provide this information.

Access This Year’s Deductions

From your Beyond dashboard:

  1. Click Workers, then Year End Adjustments.
  2. Select “All” for Employee Status, “2024” for Year, and “Sec 125” for the Override drop-down.

Correcting Inaccurate Contributions

For employee contributions:
If any employee contributions are incorrect, submit a support request with detailed amounts, following the steps mentioned above. You’ll need your Beyond login credentials.

For employer contributions:
Click the incorrect amount in the Employer Contribution column, enter the correct number, and click Save. Keep in mind that this will completely override all employer contributions for that year.

Removing an override:
If you need to change or remove an override, click Revert. Confirm by clicking OK, and you can then enter a new amount anytime.
