Dashboard: Customizations & Quick Actions

Keep the payroll and HR tools you use most at your fingertips, and minimize the ones you don’t need. With Beyond, you can adjust your dashboard and customize your tiles to fit your workflow  and your workspace, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing.

Imagine adjusting your dashboard on the go to download reports while commuting to your accountant’s office, then spreading out on multiple screens to see everything. Run payroll from the office or the dining room. Send an employee offer letter while at a spa, or hire temporary help directly on the spot. Your dashboard adapts to you.

Flexible Layout and Getting Started

Beyond offers flexible whitespace so your dashboard adjusts as you resize your window. This lets you access your desktop, open spreadsheets, or check emails without minimizing or closing Beyond.

And because payroll doesn’t wait, Beyond works seamlessly on smartphones, too. Stop scrolling endlessly for your favorite HR tools like employee offers — it’s time to tailor your dashboard!

Getting Started

Your dashboard displays everything you need for daily payroll and HR tasks, but you decide which items take priority and how they appear. To adjust the layout and appearance of your Beyond Dashboard, scroll to the bottom of the page and select Customize Dashboard.

Changing List Priority

In the Customize Dashboard window, click and drag the icon on the left of each section to reorder them. Moving a section shifts lower sections upward, and you can watch your dashboard update in real time.

Once done, click OK, and your new layout will appear across all devices where you log in to Beyond. Many sections can be customized or hidden, though critical sections are automatic and cannot be removed.

Basics of Customizing Sections

Each section can be adjusted based on three criteria:

  • Automatic
  • Visible
  • Customizable

 

Automatic sections
These sections are essential and cannot be hidden or modified, though you can change their priority.

Visible sections
Most sections have a Visible toggle to show or hide them. Hiding a section does not delete any data or affect calculations or notifications.

Customizable sections
Many sections, including team counts and individual tiles, can be customized to suit your workflow.

Quick Actions: View/Edit Employee Profile
Click a profile photo to view that employee’s details. Manager or supervisor profiles have a subtle shadow behind their photo. Clicking a supervisor allows you to see their reports. Any profile can be viewed or edited directly from the dashboard.

Important Dates
Keep track of key dates, including submission deadlines, bank drafts, direct deposits, and federal banking holidays, ensuring you never miss a critical event.
