Arizona – TPA & Power of Attorney (POA) Required

Why This Matters
Beyond works directly with state agencies on your behalf – reporting new hires to labor departments, calculating tax rates, submitting tax and insurance payments, and filing financial reports.
To do this, you must authorize Beyond to represent your business with tax agencies in every state where you have tax obligations. For example, if you operate in both Arizona and New Mexico, you’ll need to complete and return a Power of Attorney (POA) for both states.
Each tax agency has its own authorization process, which may include providing tax registration details, completing a POA form, or granting third-party access. We’ve outlined Arizona’s requirements below.
Arizona Department of Economic Security (DES)
Required: Power of Attorney (POA)
- Download the Arizona DES POA form.
- Fill in all fields with your business information.
- The owner or operator must sign at the bottom of the form.
- Return the completed form to Beyond.
Arizona Department of Revenue (DOR)
Third-Party Access (TPA)
- In your Beyond account, update your Arizona Payroll Settings with your AZ Withholding ID.
- Submit a request asking Beyond to initiate an access request for your AZ Taxes Online account.
- Once we send the request, we’ll follow up with instructions for you to approve Beyond’s access.
Power of Attorney (POA)
- Download the Arizona DOR POA form.
- Complete all required business information fields.
- The owner or operator must sign the designated section.
- Return the completed form to Beyond.
