Adding New Employees? Let Beyond Handle It for You!

We make onboarding simple by entering all your employee details and past wage information for you. This way, you can quickly move on to the exciting parts, like verifying your bank account and setting up direct deposits for your team.

Why Beyond Does the Data Entry for You

Sure, you could add your employees yourself, but if you’ve chosen Beyond, it’s probably because you want less paperwork, not more. Our onboarding specialists will take care of accurately entering all your employee details, including their prior pay history.

 

Note: Adding employees is not the same as entering prior payroll history.
If you’re joining Beyond mid-year and have already issued payments to employees, our team will input your previous payroll data to ensure all filings are done correctly on your behalf.

Information Beyond Needs to Set Up Your Employees

Our implementation team will require the following details for each worker:

  • Full legal name
  • Social Security Number (SSN) or Employer Identification Number (EIN) for all employees and contractors
  • Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) for contractors (learn more)
  • Date of birth
  • Residential address
  • Worksite address (if different from company headquarters)
  • Hire date
  • Pay rate or salary
  • Department assignment
  • Federal and state tax withholding selections for W-2 employees

 

Reminder: If no tax election is specified, W-2 employees will be set to “Single/0” by default before payroll runs.

How to Collect This Information

If you haven’t used a payroll service before, you may have managed payroll yourself or worked with an accountant/bookkeeper. Use your existing records to gather the details listed above.

If you’re switching from another payroll provider, request an Employee Report from them. This report may be called:

  • Master Control
  • Employee Summary
  • Employee Information
  • Employee Earnings Report

 

No matter the name, make sure it contains all fields listed in “Information Beyond Needs to Set Up Your Employees.”

Sending Your Employee Data to Beyond

Once your prior payroll reports are ready, send them along with your employee details. You’ll also be guided through uploading your payroll history.
