Add and edit Offices - Accountants & bookkeepers
As an accountant or bookkeeper using a Beyond Partner dashboard, the “Offices” feature provides the flexibility to manage multiple business divisions or physical office locations. By assigning users to a specific office, you can limit their visibility to only the client accounts relevant to their division or location.
Note: Only dashboard owners have the authority to add or edit offices.
Getting Started
From your Partner dashboard, click “Offices.” If your organization already has offices, they will be listed here.
Click the blue plus sign (+) to add a new office.
Naming and Creating
Enter a name for the office. If you have many offices, choose a name that makes it easy to identify each one. Administrators can change this name at any time.
Click “Add” to create the office.
Updating the Name and Description
You can add a description to provide more context for the office. Simply click “Add a description” to begin.
You can update the description or the office name whenever necessary. Click on the name or description to make changes, and your updates will be saved automatically.
Associating Companies with an Office
Linking companies to an office makes it easier to ensure that members only have access to relevant client accounts. It also simplifies the process of assigning a member to multiple companies at once.
In “Companies,” click the name of a company to open its profile on the right, then select the appropriate “Office.”
Other Ways to Use Offices
While the “Offices” feature is ideal for creating subgroups based on physical locations (e.g., Los Angeles, Atlanta, New York), it is also an excellent tool for organizing different business divisions within your firm (e.g., Architecture Division, Construction Division, Retail Division).
Note: Only an Administrator can determine how this tool is used for your firm.
Once your office categories are configured, you can assign Beyond users to specific offices to manage their company visibility.
