See What Federal,
State, and Local Forms
We File for You

Beyond makes payroll taxes simple by filing all required federal and state forms, along with any local payroll taxes from counties, cities, commonwealths, or townships.

All records of these filings are stored in your account, so you always know what forms we file , and when. Plus, with lifetime access (even if you stop using Beyond for payroll), you’ll never lose your filings or reports.

Important: Filings are not finalized unless the return itself states so. Typically, returns are finalized one month after the quarter ends. Always confirm finalization on the return.

Getting Started

  • Go to Filings in the left-hand menu.
  • Under Payroll Filings, you’ll see every federal and state form filed on your behalf, organized by year.

Federal Forms We File for You

You’ll find quarterly Forms 941 and annual Forms W-2, W-3, 1099, 940, and 943 (if applicable). These are downloadable for your records – no need to submit them to the IRS, we’ve already filed them.

You’ll also find Form 8846, ready for use with your business tax return.

Browse, Click, Print

  • Select a year to see all forms filed.
  • Click on any form to generate a downloadable PDF.
  • Save or print the file directly from your PDF editor.

Tip: At year-end, use the W-2 Preview Report to verify all W-2 and 1099 data at once. This quick audit helps prevent errors before printing and distribution.

State Forms We File for You

Most states require filings for:

  • Income tax withholding
  • Unemployment insurance (SUI)
  • Paid family leave (where applicable)

Since each state’s requirements differ, Beyond organizes them for you by year and state. You can download and print copies, but remember: Beyond files and pays these taxes for you.

Local Forms We File for You

Not all cities and counties have payroll taxes, but when they do, it can get complicated. Beyond automatically handles this for you by:

  • Including all applicable local taxes when you add a new worksite or employee address.
  • Updating tax rates annually to keep you compliant.
  • Notifying you if any new obligations apply.

For example, in Alabama, certain counties and cities impose additional payroll taxes. Similar rules exist in several other states.

Nationwide Coverage

Expanding into another state or hiring remote workers? Beyond makes it easy to:

  • See which forms we file in each state.
  • Understand registration requirements.
  • Provide the information we need to file on your behalf.

Simply select your state to get started.
