
Running a Retirement Export Report

Overview
If your 401(k) provider doesn’t integrate directly with Beyond, they may ask you to send updated payroll data each pay period in a CSV or TSV file. Providers often require this data in a specific format, including the order in which information is arranged. The Retirement Export tool makes it easy to customize and organize your file using drag-and-drop, so it matches your provider’s requirements.
Running the Report
- Go to Reports and select Retirement Export.
- Choose the reporting period and apply any necessary filters, just like you would with other reports.
- Unless instructed otherwise, include only employees with retirement contributions during the selected period.
Customizing the Report
- Use drag-and-drop to adjust the order of data points or remove any that aren’t needed.
- Make sure you’re using the correct date format for your provider’s specifications.
Exporting the Report
The Retirement Export can be downloaded in two formats:
- CSV (Comma Separated Values)
- TSV (Tab Separated Values)
Saving Formats for Future Use
Once you’ve arranged the report to meet your provider’s requirements, you can save the configuration for later. Beyond allows you to store up to two custom formats for easy reuse.
