Adding or Updating Owners in Beyond

Trouble Logging In?

For security purposes, only a member of our support team can add or modify Owner-level users. To request a change to your account’s Owners, including adding a new Owner, click the Submit a Request button below and log in using your Beyond credentials.

Requests can also be submitted via the link at the bottom of any help article or by starting a chat from your Beyond dashboard. Submitting a request this way is the fastest and most secure method to get assistance with tax matters, technical questions, or any other support related to Beyond.

If MFA is enabled and you cannot access your authenticator or are otherwise locked out – call us at (705) 302-1442, Monday through Friday, 9 AM–8 PM EST, for help.

Reminder: Never share your login credentials or MFA codes. Beyond will never request this information from you.

Information You’ll Need

To process an Owner change, you’ll need the new Owner’s name and email address.

In some cases, we may request additional documentation to verify legal ownership of the company. Accepted proof can include:

  • Certificate of Formation
  • Articles of Incorporation
  • Legal paperwork documenting the sale or transfer of the business

 

If you’re changing Owners after the original Owner has left, a new service agreement with Beyond may be required.

What It Means to Be an Owner in Beyond

An Owner is a type of Company User designated for individuals legally responsible for the company’s tax filings and payments. This role grants the highest level of administrative access in the company account.
