Nebraska TPA + POA Requirements

Why this matters
Beyond works directly with state agencies on your behalf – handling tasks such as reporting new hires to the Department of Labor, calculating applicable tax rates, submitting tax payments, processing insurance contributions, and filing required reports. To perform these duties in Nebraska or any other state where you have tax responsibilities, we must be formally authorized to represent you with the relevant tax authorities.
For instance, if your business operates in both Nebraska and Kansas, you’ll need to complete and submit a Power of Attorney for each state. In addition, Third-Party Access (TPA) is required so we can manage your accounts effectively.
Nebraska Department of Labor - Unemployment Taxes
Third-Party Access (TPA)
Nebraska mandates that quarterly unemployment filings be submitted online. To authorize Beyond as your Third-Party Administrator (TPA), follow these steps:
- If you haven’t already, set up your NEworks account.
- Notify us when you’re ready for Beyond to request TPA access to your NEworks account.
- We will confirm once the TPA request has been initiated.
- After receiving our confirmation, log in to NEworks and go to View your Profile and Contact Information.
- Select Agents.
- In the “Action” column, click Activate next to Beyond’s name.
- Under User Privileges, click Select All.
- Change the status from Pending to Active.
- Click Save.
Important: Beyond cannot submit or pay Nebraska unemployment taxes on your behalf until TPA access is approved. Any late filings, penalties, or interest accrued before access is granted will remain your company’s responsibility.
Power of Attorney (POA) - Nebraska Department of Labor
To allow Beyond to communicate directly with the Nebraska Department of Labor on matters related to unemployment taxes, you must complete a Power of Attorney form:
- Download the Nebraska DOL POA form.
- Fill in your company details in the top section.
- Have the business owner sign the form at the bottom.
- Send a completed copy to Beyond.
Nebraska Department of Revenue – Withholding Taxes
Third-Party Access (TPA)
Nebraska requires all withholding taxes to be filed and paid electronically via NebFile. To set up TPA access, we simply need:
- Your Nebraska Withholding Tax ID Number.
- Your Nebraska PIN (both issued by the Department of Revenue).
These numbers are available on your Form W-3N. Once you provide them to Beyond, we can begin filing and paying your Nebraska withholding taxes.

To authorize Beyond to correspond with the Nebraska Department of Revenue regarding withholding taxes:
- Download the Nebraska DOR POA form.
- Complete the business information section.
- The employer must sign at the bottom.
- Provide a copy of the signed form to Beyond.
