Massachusetts Payroll Tax and Registration Guide

To stay compliant with state payroll tax laws, you’ll need to submit some essential details before you can begin running payroll through Beyond:

  • Your State Employer ID and any relevant local tax identification numbers
  • Tax rates determined by your state—these are typically based on your company’s type, age, and size
  • Third-Party Authorization (TPA) and power of attorney documents, which many tax agencies require before Beyond can submit wage reports and tax payments on your behalf

It’s your responsibility to keep this information up to date so that Beyond can file and pay taxes properly. Missing or inaccurate information may result in penalties or interest, and Beyond is not liable for such issues.
